AGBAR: 7 WATER TREATMENT PLANTS SUPPLYING WATER TO BARCELONA
CASE:
SUEZ is a French company of international nature. It specializes in water resources management. It currently holds the concession for the management of the WWTP and DWTP of the Barcelona area, among many others. It stands out for its employee welfare and safety policies.
In 2019 commissions an audit to an external consultancy for the study of prevention in terms of atmospheric discharges. The audit concludes that the installations must be upgraded to IEC 62.305.
ACTION:
All the facilities of the 7 WWTPs in the Barcelona area are protected by means of DDCE and DINFIL (high frequency filter).
CONCLUSIONS:
The priority objective for SUEZ was the protection of its personnel. Conventional technologies can only protect personnel inside the facility. Dinnteco prevents lightning formation on structures and significantly minimizes the probability of impact in the surrounding area.
